XAU/USD Analysis Today: Key Levels to Watch on September 24, 2026

Gold Price Analysis September 24, 2026

It is still a bearish sentiment for gold today, and it is more or less the same story I have been seeing over the past couple of weeks.

US Treasury yields remain elevated, while the US dollar is still relatively firm. At the same time, Fed officials continue to highlight the risk of persistent inflation and the potential need for a stricter monetary policy.

So, from a broader macroeconomic perspective, the current environment remains bearish for gold.

On the technical side, gold has broken below the 4,300 level and continues to form a downtrend, with a series of lower highs and lower lows.

My downside targets are around 4,250, followed potentially by 4,225, which was the previous weekly low.

Ideally, I would prefer to see the price move back toward the 4,300 area first. If gold then gets rejected around this level and resumes its downtrend, I would have more confidence in staying with the bearish view.

For now, 4,300 is the key level I am watching. If price remains below it and continues to form lower highs and lower lows, the bearish structure remains intact.
